In trying to understand why Big Special’s “Shithouse” has been running in a loop in my head for the past few days, I realized I was hearing my own variations and alterations in the lyrics:
“Never in a million fucking years
Did I ever think I’d ever
See US* in the Middle East again”
Maybe I’m alone, but that should be a sentiment shared by anyone who lived through our last disastrous dalliance in Iraq. And there should be at least a few of us left.
The original lyrics:
“Never in a million fucking years
Did I ever think I’d ever
See your fucking face again”
And that original text could apply to all of 2025, when we reelected for president (again) a lying, cheating traitor who tried to overthrow the government. What do they say about people who never learn from their mistakes…?
* As Dipshit McGee figured out on his own, like the big boy he is, the “US” spells “us” (and vice versa).
