“No matter what you think of Trump’s social policies, he will everyone in this room rich. That’s why I voted for him—I want to make you rich. You’re welcome.”
“But it’s not just his social policies that are problematic. I am concerned about his tariffs.”
“Ask me about DEI?”
“What about DEI?”
“It’s DEAD!”
“Wow. You could not wait to say that…”
“It’s not me. It’s the will of voters.”
“So you think Americans voted based on their opinions of corporate governance policies?”
“It could not be a clearer mandate.”
“Right, people will get the government they voted for, whether they realize it or not. It’s just, his tariff plans will raise prices on all goods, while his government purge will goose unemployment, at the same time he’s reducing healthcare coverage, worsening the climate crisis, and spending military assets to deport millions of people who normally would fulfill key roles in multiple industries. It seems like he picked his policies based on the best ways to destroy the economy, both short term and in the long run.”
“You are forgetting one thing…”
“What’s that?”
“That hardly seems like sound investment advice.”
